All the sculptures from this series are made with leftover stone from restoration projects on historical buildings around the city, including the New York Public Library, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, The Met Cloisters, and Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate—and were collected during my ten years working as a stone carver for a restoration company.
